Cogswell Hall offers quality affordable housing to low income individuals in a historic building in Cleveland’s Detroit-Shoreway neighborhood. Residents pay 30% of their income toward rent and, by signing a lease, have the rights and responsibilities of any renter. Residents can make Cogswell Hall their home on a short term basis or permanently as it fits their needs.
Suites at Cogswell Hall are furnished, including a microwave/refrigerator, have a private bath and individual adjustable heating and air conditioning. The building common areas include a living room, library/sunroom, family room, community room, laundry facilities, exercise area, and dining hall. A computer/ resource center is available to all residents. The building is handicap accessible with elevator access to all floors, and rooms with universal design and some suites having fully accessible bathrooms.
