Cogswell Hall is a supportive environment based on living in community. Each resident’s voice is valued and they are given multiple ways to make themselves heard.
Resident Circle, a monthly resident meeting, is a forum that encourages and empowers individuals to set standards for living together and resolve issues coming from sharing common space.
A Community Meal is a monthly opportunity for all residents to come together, share a meal at no additional cost and celebrate birthdays and important occasions.
A variety of optional activities bring residents together and reduce the isolation and marginalization of individuals. Regularly scheduled activities include creative expressions, exercise circuit, book club, movie night, bingo, Metroparks trips and walking group. Resident-lead initiatives are also encourages, such as chair exercise and cat patrol, where a group of dedicated residents care for and maintain the local stray cat population.
