How to Help

NOTICE: Because you have been so generous, we cannot accept clothing donations at the moment. We're out of storage space!

We can still use the items and specialized garments mentioned in our In-Kind Wish List. For other clothing donations, we recommend such local organizations as Needs Cleveland and the West Side Catholic Center. Thank you!

We can’t do it without your help!  There are many ways for you to join us in our mission to reduce homelessness and provide affordable housing in our community:

Your tax deductible donation helps us provide a permanent solution to homelessness that offers quality, low-income housing with social services, builds community and advocates for disabled and economically disadvantaged individuals.

From office work to "done in a day" projects, volunteering can be a great way for you to have an impact on Cogswell Hall's mission.

Donate goods
In kind donations help us free up more funds to provide quality services to our residents. Commonly-needed items include paper, envelopes, office supplies and gift cards.  View our current wish list below!

Naming rights
Many naming opportunities exist in our building.  Please contact Development and Marketing at for the complete list of naming rights.

Sponsor or partner with us
Many corporations and private foundations have become important contributors to the housing and supportive services provided to the residents of Cogswell Hall.  By working together, we create a network of support that helps us provide a permanent solution to homelessness.  In return, our corporate partners:

  • Gain a better understanding of the homeless population
  • Secure an investment in the community in which they operate
  • Nurture their employee’s social and professional skills and relationships
  • Provide their employees with opportunities to give back to their own community

Sponsoring our fall “Coming Home” gala is a wonderful and generous way to support Cogswell Hall’s work with low-income adults who face disabling conditions. Contact Development and Marketing Manager, Hans Holznagel, at for details.

Host a fundraiser
Consider hosting an event and donating the proceeds to Cogswell Hall.  Bake sales, car washes and candy sales are great ways to teach the value of giving back to children and teenagers.
