Chef Heinz Yee has been in the restaurant business for as long as he can remember. He has worked every position in the restaurant industry, from dishwasher to executive chef. After the passing of his father, Chef Yee took over as Owner and Executive Chef of Otani Japanese Restaurant, the first sushi bar in Cleveland. Since then he has worked hard to make Otani better.
Chef Yee studied the culinary arts in Italy, and his desire for accumulating more culinary experience led him to The Maisonette in Cincinnati and Jo An in Kentucky. Chef Yee is constantly striving to build upon his skills and is currently operating Otani Restaurants and In Season Catering Co. along with offering his expertise through consulting services to other restaurant owners.
In his free time, Yee enjoys traveling, meeting new people, and spending time with his family. Chef Yee feels strongly about maintaining a work life balance. He is very open to sharing his thoughts on balancing his entrepreneurial dreams with a healthy family life.
Chef Heinz Yee provided an incredible spread of hors d’oeuvres and sushi at last year’s event and we can’t wait to see what he has in store for us this year!
